About the Company

Prisma Health

Nonprofit hospital network delivering comprehensive care

Prisma Health is a private, non-profit health system in South Carolina formed in 2017 by merging Greenville Health System and Palmetto Health. It runs a network of hospitals, clinics, and specialty centers across the Midlands and Upstate, offering services from primary care to cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, and women’s health, plus a Level I trauma center and a children’s hospital. Revenue comes from patient services, insurance reimbursements, and government programs, with any surplus reinvested into new facilities, programs, and services. Its goal is to improve community health by providing integrated care at scale and supporting education and research through academic affiliations.
