  • Be a college junior pursuing a degree in Finance, Trust and Wealth Management, or general business.
  • Have held a leadership role in a club, organization, or job and be able to own a responsibility.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and curiosity about financial markets and business strategy.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in client meetings, team discussions, and written summaries.
  • Manage multiple projects and work independently amid ambiguity.
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the team on projects and research that inform client and business decisions.
  • Attend client and prospect meetings to observe how advisors build trust and deliver recommendations.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to planning, portfolio construction, and related technical work.
  • Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Work with employees across several departments and build a firmwide network.
  • Present or showcase what was learned during the internship to a mentor and leadership.

Vistria takes majority stake in $14B RIA Curi Capital to fuel acquisitions

Curi Capital, a Chicago-based registered investment adviser managing over $14 billion in assets, has agreed to a majority investment from private equity firm The Vistria Group. The deal, expected to close in late September, marks the second major ownership change for Curi in under three years. Vistria, which manages $18 billion in assets, will acquire a majority stake whilst existing shareholders Curi and Wealth Partners Capital Group retain their positions. The capital will support technology upgrades, recruitment, expanded client services, and acquisitions of like-minded RIAs. Curi Capital's CEO Dimitri Eliopoulos said the firm plans to grow its advisory, investment management, and operations capabilities, particularly in estate planning and tax preparation. Clients will continue working with existing advisory teams under the current service model.

Curi Capital has secured a strategic investment from The Vistria Group as the registered investment adviser surpasses $14 billion in assets under advisement. The transaction is expected to close in late September 2026. Vistria will become an ownership partner alongside Curi's employee owners and existing shareholders, Curi Holdings and Wealth Partners Capital Group. The investment will fund technology enhancements to improve efficiency, analytics and client engagement. Curi Capital also plans to invest in talent acquisition and expand its financial planning capabilities. The firm expects to acquire additional registered investment advisers to increase market density and enter new geographies. Headquartered in Chicago, Curi Capital operates 12 offices across eight states and Washington, DC, serving mass-affluent to ultra-high-net-worth clients. Vistria manages approximately $18 billion.
