Requirements
  • The candidate must have 3+ years of sales experience with demonstrated customer service acumen.
  • The candidate must hold a valid driver's license.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of successful selling in a business-to-business environment.
  • The candidate must have experience with customer relationship management systems.
  • The candidate must be available to work and travel within the assigned territory 75% of the time.
  • The candidate must have interpersonal, written, presentation, and sales skills.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, persistent, and focused.
  • The candidate must have strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • The candidate must have problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
  • The candidate must be able to handle a 45+ hour work week, with hours varying based on workload and travel.
Responsibilities
  • Represent AWP Safety to prospective and existing accounts in the utility, construction, engineering, and event categories within the assigned regional geographic area.
  • Maintain existing business and identify new business through personal and telephone communication.
  • Collect and understand industry trends to remain competitive in the traffic control market.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-making personnel in existing and prospective accounts.
  • Participate in the account targeting process led by the Director of Sales.
  • Strategically develop and implement profitable sales growth plans within the assigned territory in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Actively manage an existing pipeline of opportunities, focusing on growing new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities for new projects within the customer and prospect base.
  • Maintain rapport with existing customers while building customer partnerships as new sales opportunities are identified.
  • Identify key account decision-makers and establish professional relationships.
  • Perform customer follow-up activities to ensure the brand promise and operating performance are satisfactory.
  • Collect and communicate industry trends and competitive activity within the assigned territory.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external customers, negotiate sales contracts, rate adjustments, and renewals, and maintain sales forecasts and customer relationship management updates.
  • Work closely with the inside sales team when providing quotes and requested information.
  • Identify high-potential prospect accounts and convert them into new growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Billing, Collections, and accounts receivable on organizational changes, accurate and timely billing, resolution, and retention.
  • Work closely with Regional Operations Management to drive growth and customer experience.
  • Align with Regional Sales Managers in support of National Account channel partners.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce account information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
