- At least 1 year of experience performing service repairs.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment while following Technical Manual procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used to repair agricultural and turf equipment.
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds repeatedly.
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions products.
- Participate in required Service EDUCATE training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Account for all time on a time card and all materials used in performing assigned duties.
- Basic Service Technician certification is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred.
- A forklift license is preferred.
