Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in a combination of industry, preferably in FinTech, and public accounting experience with at least 5 years in a similar function
  • Bachelors degree and CPA, experience working with financial service regulators a plus
  • General interest and understanding of the crypto industry
  • Experienced with accounting rules and reporting requirements related to consolidation, foreign currency revaluation, CTA analysis, FX gain/loss
  • Proficient with Intacct or a similar ERP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Build, implement and maintain scalable intercompany and consolidation processes and procedures
  • Own the Consolidation Process and Tool, responsible for month-end revaluations, CTA and FX gain/loss analysis
  • Manage a team of managed services staff, review, approve and monitor performance
  • Coordinate with tax, legal, and compliance to ensure intercompany agreements are in place and implement processes to monitor adherence
  • Provide guidance on intercompany settlement and movement of intercompany funds
  • Identify key differences between US GAAP and local accounting policies
  • Be the subject matter expert for international expansion and operationalizing new international entities
  • Work closely with local and divisional finance personnel to implement more efficient processes
  • Participate in designing training sessions for the Finance organization about intercompany activity and foreign exchange impacts
  • Participate in special projects as needed
