Responsibilities
  • Define CFC excellence, set standards for field effectiveness, translate CEP business priorities into integrated CMO capability and enablement plans, and steward the future-state field experience.
  • Orchestrate planning across CEP leadership, CMO CFC capability owners, Digital, Analytics, Compliance, and other enterprise stakeholders to align capabilities, platforms, processes, and change efforts with business strategy and planned timelines.
  • Manage three Senior Director CFC Enablement Leads and one CFC Tools Enablement & Process Excellence Senior Manager.
  • Provide strategic leadership for major, multi-year US enterprise transformations, including the US Life Sciences Cloud transition, Scout expansion, and convergence and rationalization of CFC tools, platforms, data, and workflows.
  • Define the field-experience blueprint and shape the operating-plan horizon for CFC platform evolution.
  • Establish standards for CFC excellence across priority field roles, including rep, ABM, and KAD competency expectations, performance standards, capabilities, behaviors, workflows, tools, data, and enablement.
  • Lead external and internal benchmarking to identify capability gaps, emerging practices, and opportunities to strengthen field effectiveness, and convert findings into a prioritized investment and transformation agenda.
  • Create a common measurement and benchmarking framework for CFC experience and sponsor a repeatable Voice of Field and feedback engine.
  • Provide business leadership for the US Life Sciences Cloud transition, including cross-business governance, CFC and CEP representation, discovery and requirements alignment, readiness, change strategy, risk escalation, and linkage to the broader CFC experience roadmap.
  • Lead Scout expansion and convergence strategy, aligning sequencing, use cases, user personas, adoption, and transition from legacy reporting and planning experiences to a streamlined, insight-led approach with improved user experience.
  • Sponsor convergence and rationalization of CFC tools, platforms, data, and processes by mapping the end-to-end CFC journey, identifying fragmentation and duplication, defining target-state principles, and driving senior stakeholder decisions.
  • Shape the future-state Field AI experience blueprint by integrating AI-enabled planning, insight, coaching, listening, and workflow opportunities responsibly and compliantly.
  • Create governance across transformation programs by clarifying outcomes, workstreams, accountabilities, interdependencies, decision forums, milestones, risks, and value measures.
  • Define and embed a common strategic-orchestrator model for the three CFC Enablement Leads, with service expectations, decision rights, planning standards, engagement cadences, and shared tools.
  • Ensure each CFC Enablement Lead develops and maintains an integrated CEP capability deployment plan.
  • Oversee capability pull-through orchestration by ensuring CFC Enablement Leads convene the appropriate CMO subject-matter experts, CEP leaders, and business team members to clarify requirements, align roles, resolve barriers, and drive implementation.
  • Maintain a unified portfolio view across CEP businesses to identify common needs, enable cross-business scale, manage dependencies, reduce duplicative requests, and inform CMO prioritization.
  • Drive pull-through and adoption through sequenced stakeholder engagement, readiness, communications, learning, implementation, issue resolution, and outcome measurement.
  • Build alignment across senior US leaders, including CEP leadership teams, CMO verticals, Digital, Analytics and AI, Global platform teams, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Learning, and Program Orchestration.
  • Chair or represent the function in senior governance forums and provide decision-oriented recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and escalation paths.
  • Influence without direct authority across a matrixed environment, resolve conflict and ambiguity, and hold partners accountable to shared outcomes.
  • Represent the US field voice in capability design and bring CEP needs upstream into CMO-led capability builds.
  • Direct executive communications and change narratives connecting transformation activity to business value, colleague experience, customer engagement, and enterprise strategy.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a senior team; set outcomes, allocate capacity, manage performance, and build succession strength.
  • Build an integrated team operating model spanning business-facing enablement, tools enablement, process excellence, field experience, and enterprise transformation leadership.
  • Set portfolio and resource priorities and stop or redirect work that does not support the agreed agenda.
  • Create a culture of enterprise leadership and continuous improvement in which the team shares insights, scales repeatable practices, uses evidence to make decisions, and removes stakeholder and CFC friction.

Pfizer and Butterfly Network lead AI healthcare push with revenues up to $63.7B

Pfizer CEO says major headwinds easing as drugmaker cuts $7.2B in costs, eyes oncology pipeline

Pfizer's chief executive Albert Bourla says the pharmaceutical company's major headwinds are easing. Speaking at a recent conference, Bourla identified three challenges facing the drugmaker in 2025: tariffs and drug pricing policies, declining coronavirus product sales, and patent cliffs. The company has addressed tariffs by signing agreements with the US government for reduced medicine prices in exchange for tariff breaks. Pfizer has exceeded Wall Street's earnings-per-share estimates in all 10 of its past quarterly reports, suggesting its coronavirus business no longer significantly impacts performance. However, major patent cliffs loom. Eliquis, which generated $4.6 billion in the first half of the year, could face generic competition by 2028. Cancer treatment Ibrance, with $2.1 billion in first-half revenue, faces US patent expiration in 2027. Pfizer has cut $7.2 billion in costs and expanded its pipeline through acquisitions and internal development, with new products generating $13 billion annually. Medicus Pharma secures Pfizer ADC deal with $2M funding, advances SkinJect for rare cancer treatment

Medicus Pharma has secured a development and licensing agreement with Pfizer for a CD228-targeted antibody-drug conjugate programme focused on solid tumours, including refractory melanoma. Pfizer is providing approximately $2 million in development funding, plus inventory and infrastructure support. CEO Dr Raza Bokhari said the deal allows Medicus to continue from where Pfizer concluded its Phase 1 dose-escalation work, strengthening the company's position in precision oncology. Medicus is also advancing its SkinJect programme for basal cell carcinoma. Final clinical trial results identified the 200-microgram patch as the optimal dose for future studies. The company is preparing for the FDA-approved pivotal SkinJect 005 study whilst recruiting patients. An independent reimbursement analysis suggests SkinJect could achieve reimbursement levels of $25,000 or more per patient.

AbbVie beats Pfizer as top dividend stock with 53-year payout streak and 203% growth

AbbVie offers a smarter long-term dividend investment than Pfizer, despite Pfizer's higher 6.1% yield. AbbVie holds Dividend King status with 53 consecutive years of dividend increases and raised its payout by 5.5% this year to $1.73 per share. Over the past decade, AbbVie increased its dividend by more than 203% compared to Pfizer's 51%. AbbVie's revenue grew 138% during this period, whilst Pfizer's rose just 18%. AbbVie successfully navigated Humira's patent cliff through home-grown immunology drugs Skyrizi and Rinvoq. By 2025, these two drugs generated combined annual sales exceeding $25 billion, replacing Humira's peak revenue and pushing total company revenue to record highs. AbbVie's free-cash-flow dividend payout ratio stands at 65%, lower than Pfizer's 89%.
