About the Job

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or exceptional Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • One to three years of experience through internships, research, or industry.
  • Strong coding skills in Python; C++ is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience building AI or machine-learning projects, or backend or distributed systems.
  • Solid fundamentals in data structures and basic system design.
  • Experience building a non-trivial AI project, making an open-source contribution, or developing a research prototype.

Responsibilities

  • Develop LLM-powered agents that use tools, APIs, and data to complete complex tasks.
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation pipelines for large-scale knowledge integration.
  • Ship end-to-end systems spanning data ingestion, reasoning, and action.
  • Design multi-step reasoning workflows rather than simple prompt calls.
  • Evaluate and improve model accuracy, latency, and cost.
  • Work with open-source and frontier models.
  • Collaborate with FPGA and ASIC teams on hardware-aware AI design.
  • Explore optimization of AI systems across CPU, GPU, and FPGA, including efficient inference and system-level performance tradeoffs.
  • Develop reusable components for memory and context management, tool integration, and knowledge retrieval.
  • Contribute to internal AI platforms used across teams.
  • Build production systems used in real engineering workflows.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with vector databases such as FAISS or Milvus.
  • Exposure to retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, or agent workflows.
  • Exposure to hardware acceleration or performance optimization.
  • Ability to learn new frameworks quickly and deliver working systems.
  • Curiosity about how systems work end to end, beyond models.
