  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Ability to examine building layouts, anticipate installation and repair difficulties, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work as necessary.
  • Ability to inspect vehicles and maintain service, scheduling, and repair records.
  • Ability to inspect equipment for wear and notify customers or the Operations Manager of findings.
  • Ability to determine repair parts and ordering timelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to travel regularly, including some overnight travel as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness; maintain vehicles by keeping service records, scheduling service, and completing repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain equipment by inspecting it for signs of wear and notifying customers or the Operations Manager of findings.
  • Document each job, including daily time, progress, and duration, and maintain files.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact and provide technical support to customers.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and the timing of need.
  • Record parts, materials, labor, subcontractor, and other cost data per assignment, and return unused resources.
  • Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Keep current on products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
