Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent.
Must have between 5 and 10 years of journeyperson experience.
Off-road experience is required.
Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is required.
Must have a full complement of hand tools.
Must have a personal reliable vehicle.
Must wear CSA-approved steel-toed boots with 6-inch ankle support.
Must complete drug and alcohol testing, which may be by swab or urine depending on site requirements.
Must successfully complete company orientation and site-specific orientation.
Must pass a fitness-to-work assessment.
Must be able to read and troubleshoot hydraulic and electronic schematics.
Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are required.
Responsibilities
Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards in a timely manner.
Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure.
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.
Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage employees, subcontractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with CAT scrapers is beneficial.
