Boston Dynamics is seeking an experienced Production Control Specialist to join our Operations team and be a key member of the Production Planning & Control unit as we build the world’s most advanced robots. Every day, you will provide support on the production floor ensuring WIP success and integrity through MES, MRP and inventory management systems. Communication and the ability work cross functionally will be critical attributes in this role.

Day to day activities:

• Manage Kit Readiness including working with cross-functional team in BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations, and Document Control

• Provide production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work In Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule

• Work with support team to process piece part movement to support internal build requirements through subcontractors, internal resources, and other Boston Dynamics facilities

• Create rework orders within MES and and facilitate material flow throughout the factory 

• Execute material purges and coordinate reworked with outside areas internal to BD

Desired skills:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in production planning and/or control in a hardware manufacturing or similar technology focused environment

• This position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making & people skills.  Proficiency and experience with ERP systems, Google Suite, and Excel required.
