Medical Technologist

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Medical Technologist Molecular Diagnostics position is to perform routine and complex laboratory analyses; assumes responsibility for procedural and system controls, problem solving, teaching and supervision under direction independently. Provides physicians with accurate and reliable analytical results necessary for the diagnosis/treatment of patients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or a related field. ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred. Certification in molecular biology/molecular diagnostics is preferred.
