About the Company

Columbia Bank

Regional bank expanding through acquisitions

Columbia Banking System operates as a regional bank holding company that grows through acquisitions to serve Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It provides traditional banking services—checking and savings accounts, mortgages, and commercial and consumer loans—through local branches, online, and mobile channels, with a focus on relationship banking. After merging with Umpqua Holdings, the bank now operates under the Umpqua Bank brand, balancing local community ties with the scale of a larger regional bank. Its goal is to be a reliable regional lender and financial services provider for individuals and businesses while expanding its footprint.
