Requirements
  • Completed vocational training obtained domestically or abroad.
  • A journeyman or skilled-worker certificate as an automotive mechatronics technician, commercial-vehicle mechatronics technician, automotive mechanic, or comparable qualification.
  • Practical experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and vehicle repair.
  • Physical fitness for standing and walking for up to eight hours per day.
  • A German Class B driving licence is desirable.
  • First German-language skills and a valid work and residence permit are welcome.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and inspection work on vehicles with all types of drive systems.
  • Conduct systematic vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting using modern diagnostic technology.
  • Perform repair and service work on mechanical and electronic components.
  • Prepare vehicles for the main inspection and emissions inspection.
  • Develop knowledge of modern vehicle technology.
  • Work a five-day week from Monday to Saturday in an early and late shift two-shift system.
Desired Qualifications
  • A German Class B driving licence.
  • The opportunity to progress toward a master craftsperson qualification in the automotive trade through further training or direct entry.
