Requirements
  • Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and safely and effectively use work-related tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, ISO field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, specifications, work instructions, company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Must be able to fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, carbon steel weld pipe, PVC, HDPE, and stainless steel weld pipe.
  • Must be able to miter and fabricate all pipe and use a beveling machine to prepare pipes and tubes for welding.
  • Must be able to install all sizes of underground pipe, valves, pipe hangers, and pipe supports.
  • Must be able to work in active construction and project-site environments, including uneven terrain, mud, gravel, sand, outdoor weather conditions, confined spaces, restricted-access areas, and elevated locations.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated work surfaces while maintaining safety requirements.
  • Must be able to frequently handle hand tools, power tools, equipment, instruments, and assigned materials.
  • Must be able to move, transport, position, push, pull, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance or available mechanical devices.
  • Must be able to communicate and collaborate with crew members, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and others.
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations and apply measurement, estimation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must maintain concentration, situational awareness, and attention to detail in environments with multiple activities, distractions, and changing priorities.
  • Must make timely decisions using sound judgment related to safety, quality, productivity, and project requirements.
  • Must adapt to changing work conditions, schedules, priorities, and operational demands.
  • Must provide the listed personal tools and required steel-toe footwear and rain gear.
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, ISO field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and specifications.
  • Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, carbon steel weld pipe, PVC, HDPE, and stainless steel weld pipe.
  • Miter and fabricate pipe.
  • Use a beveling machine to prepare pipes and tubes for welding.
  • Lay out pipe penetrations.
  • Install underground pipe of all sizes.
  • Install valves, pipe hangers, and pipe supports.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed.
