About the job
- An associate degree is required.
- Teaching assistant experience or experience working with students is required.
- Department of Education fingerprinting is required.
- Completion of the SAVE School and Child Abuse Workshop is required; prior completion is a plus, and the workshops can be provided if not already completed.
- Applicants must be presently eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to go up and down stairs in a school building.
- Frequent standing is required, along with the ability to raise arms above the head.
- Hand dexterity is required for typing and entering data into a computer.
- Assist the classroom teacher in supporting students who need additional help in the classroom.
- Deliver reading and math tutoring to students in grades K–8 in an in-school setting, in small groups or one-on-one.
- Work as part of an educational team that includes fellow educators, a Program Aide, and an Area Manager, coordinating with school districts to provide educational services in reading, mathematics, and/or writing.
- Special education experience is preferred.
- Bilingual ability is preferred.
- Prior completion of the SAVE School and Child Abuse Workshop is a plus.
