About the job
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- At least one year of experience in customer service, financial services, retail sales, or another member-facing environment is required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to different work locations and changing priorities is required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work independently with a self-directed work style is required.
- Ability to work at various branch locations as assigned is required.
- Availability on Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and rotating Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is required.
- Deliver professional member service through face-to-face interactions, video banking, telephone, and digital chat platforms.
- Assist members with everyday account maintenance and service requests.
- Open memberships and help members understand available products and services.
- Process transactions and service requests, including stop payments, check orders, account updates, and wire transfers.
- Support operations in multiple branch locations based on staffing and business demands.
- Utilize Interactive Teller Machine technology to provide efficient member assistance.
- Identify opportunities to connect members with additional financial solutions and refer them to specialized banking staff when appropriate.
- Stay current on credit union products, procedures, compliance requirements, and service standards.
- Contribute to a positive member experience.
- Previous call center, digital banking, or virtual customer service experience is a plus.
