Requirements
  • You have at least 5 years of experience managing a team
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a strategic role, with a responsibility to implement governance and processes cross-functionally, where ownership is distributed
  • You have at least 5 years of experience working in Diversity and Inclusion with substantial knowledge of D&I best practices, ideally in a business setting
  • You combine a strategic mindset with the ability to plan long-term based on current progress and challenges
  • You are willing to coach and mentor others, especially senior leaders, on D&I topics
  • You bear excellent stakeholder management skills, especially in influencing and advising on the need to integrate D&I into business decisions and strategic planning
  • You have strong communication skills in English with the ability to effectively communicate difficult or sensitive topics relating to D&I concepts
  • You come with an excellent understanding of data reporting best practices to prepare and communicate effective data reports
Responsibilities
  • You’ll develop and own a clear and measurable D&I strategy aligned with the Zalando's overall business objectives and values, while you’ll advise on best practices of D&I initiatives to be developed and implemented by stakeholders throughout Zalando
  • You’ll translate the strategy into an actionable plan by aligning with internal stakeholders on the implementation
  • You’ll establish metrics to track progress, measure the effectiveness of D&I strategy and initiatives and report internally and externally the outcome
  • You’ll manage the Central D&I team, offering support, guidance and professional development
  • You’ll improve and manage the governance of strategic D&I at Zalando
  • You’ll prepare and facilitate regular Steering Committees for strategic D&I pillars
  • You’ll cultivate relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders throughout Zalando to ensure D&I is prioritized within teams owning the delivery of D&I commitments
