Requirements
  • Knowledge of administrative compliance, financial reporting, and applicable business practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and ability to influence budgeting, cost control, planning, scheduling, and procedural change.
  • Knowledge of endowment and other restricted fund group policies.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with administrative partners across the institution.
  • Ability to multitask, work cooperatively with others, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, databases, and Adobe.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the team of Account Analysts and Managers monitoring all philanthropic funds for the University.
  • Partner with Chairs, Deans, and University leadership to advise on actions that bring gift accounts into compliance with donor, institutional, or UT System policies.
  • Create and lead implementation of institution-related training programs for philanthropic gift usage.
  • Work closely with institutional leadership to ensure endowment and current-use funds are used appropriately according to gift agreements, accounting policies, and UT System policies.
  • Coordinate with the Database team to maintain records for more than 800 endowments held by UT Health San Antonio.
  • Provide regular updates on fund usage to appropriate team members for timely donor reporting.
  • Coordinate the faculty appointment process for academic endowments with the Deans.
  • Educate campus partners on gift, endowment, and fund group policies.
  • Oversee development and implementation of a regular reporting program for the President, Vice President of Academic, Advancement and Engagement, Compliance Committee, and UT System regarding endowed and current fund usage.
  • Interview, select, and train employees; plan and direct work; appraise productivity and efficiency; handle complaints and grievances; and impose discipline when necessary.
  • Develop, revise, and recommend IA-related policies in the Handbook of Operating Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
