About the job

Requirements
  • Have shipped real software to real users; an engineering degree or self-taught background is acceptable.
  • Have founded or co-founded a technology startup, preferably B2B SaaS, or operated as a near-founder with full ownership of a product.
  • Use agentic coding tools hands-on on a daily basis and be able to assess their strengths and limitations and integrate them into real codebases without creating maintenance debt.
  • Have shipped production software in at least two programming languages and be able to work effectively in unfamiliar codebases within a week.
  • Be able to work with mature legacy products and choose appropriately between greenfield, brownfield, and greyfield approaches.
  • Be comfortable demonstrating products to customers, observing their use, and making changes based on observed usage.
  • Have 3 to 8 years of experience, typically in engineering, founding, or hybrid product/engineering roles.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and moving between business units, codebases, and customer segments.
Responsibilities
  • Build agent-first products end to end within the codebases of Everfield business units, including specifying, prototyping, shipping, iterating, and handing off the products.
  • Become productive in business-unit codebases quickly and produce working software across backend systems, data platforms, workflow tools, and user-interface-heavy products.
  • Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and SpecKit as the default mode of work, and build AI tooling when it does not yet exist for a problem.
  • Prototype directly with business-unit customers and iterate based on what they use.
  • Work alongside business-unit engineering teams in their codebases so those teams can maintain and extend the products after handoff.
  • Translate validated ideas into shipped products in weeks rather than quarters.
  • Hand off production-ready code, documentation for the business-unit engineering team, and a technical narrative for the business-unit CEO.
  • Participate in customer discovery with the Product Lead and provide technical judgment on what is buildable.
  • Codify effective practices into a repeatable build playbook that can scale to additional builders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working across multiple companies, portfolios, or accelerator-style environments.
  • General familiarity with B2B SaaS fundamentals.
  • Ability to work in English at the executive level; other European languages are a bonus.
  • Exposure to post-acquisition or M&A integration environments.
  • A failed, acqui-hired, or continuing side startup.
  • Public technical work such as GitHub contributions, conference talks, technical writing, open-source contributions, or a personal website showcasing side projects.
  • Experience integrating large language models into production systems beyond demos, including evaluations, guardrails, retrieval, tools, and cost control.
