Requirements
  • Experience supporting and/or delivering at least 3 Human Capital mergers and acquisitions projects, including restructuring, enterprise cost reduction, due diligence, assessment of transaction risks, target screening, integration planning and execution, and/or post-merger integration.
  • At least 4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions integration and/or divestiture service delivery.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a consulting and/or industry role involving change management initiatives, communications development, organizational design and development, human resources strategy or operations, and/or talent solutions.
  • At least 4 years of experience developing human resources transaction strategy and delivering that strategy.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in human resources functions and processes, including human resources mergers and acquisitions and one or more of human resources strategy, human resources employee experience, human resources operating models, human resources outsourcing advisory, and human resources technology.
  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of consulting and/or industry experience, or a Master of Business Administration and at least 2 years of qualifying work experience involving change management initiatives, communications development, organizational design and development, human resources strategy or operations, and/or talent solutions.
  • Ability to travel 50% on average based on client and industry assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Support human capital workstreams across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring engagements for corporate and private equity clients.
  • Assess organizational, workforce, culture, and human resources operating model impacts and develop recommendations to support transaction objectives.
  • Lead elements of change management, stakeholder engagement, and communications planning to support workforce transition and adoption.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of human resources functional integration activities across human resources systems, service delivery, total rewards, payroll, leadership development, and talent strategy.
  • Develop analyses, client deliverables, and implementation plans related to organization design, workforce optimization, and post-transaction execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration or graduate degree in human resources or organizational behavior.
  • Actuarial exams or designation, or human resources credentials such as Certified Compensation Professional, Global Remuneration Professional, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, or Change Management Specialist.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Human Capital mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and/or enterprise cost reduction, including due diligence, assessment of transaction risks, target screening, integration planning and execution, and/or post-merger integration.
  • Experience performing Human Capital due diligence in compensation, benefits, human resources compliance, labor relations, human resources communications, operations and technology, talent, and culture.
  • Experience supporting workshops, large meetings, or presentations to senior leaders.
  • Experience developing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and performing data analysis in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Structured Query Language.

AI forces companies to rethink hiring practices as job applications surge and entry-level pipelines shrink

Business Insider convened 15 HR and C-suite leaders in Davos to discuss how AI is reshaping hiring and talent pipelines. The roundtable, presented by Indeed, revealed growing concerns about entry-level positions and skills assessment. Deloitte's Elizabeth Faber emphasised maintaining a "human-led, technology-powered" approach whilst carefully navigating reduced junior hiring. TCW's Melissa Stolfi noted her firm has downsized its analyst class but maintains a pyramid structure to preserve apprenticeship culture and future leadership pipelines. Indeed's chief economist Svenja Gudell warned that whilst tech employers now demand five-plus years' experience, this creates future talent shortages if junior hiring continues declining. Salesforce's Nathalie Scardino said her company receives two million applications annually and has shifted focus from years of experience to learning aptitude. Manpower Group's Becky Frankiewicz noted AI can process candidates faster whilst reducing bias, potentially unlocking opportunities beyond traditional qualifications.

Deloitte to hire 50,000 employees in India, eyes Mangaluru expansion

Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India and is evaluating Mangaluru, Karnataka, as a potential new location, according to South Asia CEO Romal Shetty. The company currently employs 140,000 people in India, representing one in four Deloitte employees globally. Shetty said India hosts 50% of all global capability centres worldwide, with significant growth potential in Tier II and Tier III cities. He proposed creating digital economic zones integrating GCCs, GPU-based data centres, startups and academic institutions to accelerate expansion. The CEO called for streamlining GCC setup processes from six months to two weeks, whilst acknowledging infrastructure constraints around energy and water for data centres. Shetty noted Mangaluru offers advantages including talent availability and real estate, adding the company's presence there is a matter of timing.
