Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to exceptional customer service are essential.
- Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician experience is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
- Patient care experience is preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vital signs, and provide support to providers and nurses.
- Administer treatments and diagnostic tests as ordered by the provider, including vaccinations, nebulizer treatments, electrocardiograms, and COVID-19 testing.
- Assist providers with physical examinations and procedures as necessary.
- Deliver care specific to the age of each patient.
- Demonstrate organizational skills to maintain and coordinate safe delivery of quality care for assigned patients and families.
- Participate in a culturally competent plan of care that identifies patient problems, expected outcomes, and preventative measures.
- Contribute patient and family information to the electronic medical record for assessment of health status.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician experience is preferred.
- One year of experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
- Two years of patient care experience is preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
