  • Availability to work extended hours or provide support outside standard working days for critical business needs.
  • Ability to travel locally or internationally based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end realization of manufacturing lines and processes for capital equipment assemblies and subsystems, from product introduction and transition through pilot builds to stable, high-volume production.
  • Plan, design, validate, release, and sustain manufacturing processes that meet safety, quality, delivery, and compliance objectives.
  • Drive process definitions, including routings, standard work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, torque and alignment specifications, test protocols, acceptance criteria, and special-process qualifications such as rework, cleaning, and vacuum/leak testing.
  • Verify that lines, workstations, fixtures, and test equipment meet capability, repeatability, ergonomics, and EHS requirements; identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain disciplined change and revision control and keep process documentation audit-ready.
  • Act as the main liaison for NPI transitions to ensure manufacturing launch readiness.
  • Lead introduction and readiness of new designs and lines for high-volume manufacturing, including DFM/DFA reviews, tooling and fixture readiness, pilot builds, process prove-out, capability studies, and ramp-up validation.
  • Drive line-realization planning, including layout, capacity and cycle-time modeling, staffing, and line-balancing strategies until stable run-rate is achieved.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, process control, training requirements, and operational readiness from NPI through sustaining.
  • Provide daily technical support to production and troubleshoot process and product issues.
  • Drive structured problem solving and implement preventive actions to address yield loss, defects, and build inconsistencies; support MRB activities and drive timely CAPA closure.
  • Drive performance against MFE KPIs and proactively conduct RCCA/CAPA when targets are at risk.

  • Establish and maintain equipment operating procedures and maintenance standards; ensure spare parts and calibration plans are defined and available.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS, customer, and regulatory requirements; support audits and close findings in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate in-process and final inspection and test methods; monitor FPY, defect and rework rates, and escapes/warranty issues; drive improvement actions.
  • Partner with QE, SQE, and SDE on supplier incoming quality, special processes, and corrective actions; define receiving inspection and acceptance-sampling criteria.
  • Ensure controlled documentation, including BOMs, routings, work instructions, and drawings, is maintained in PLM/MRP systems (Agile/Oracle); keep Oracle Work Definitions current.
  • Identify and lead continuous-improvement initiatives to improve workflow, layout, line balance, takt alignment, SMED, WIP, OEE, and equipment utilization; quantify benefits to support business objectives.
  • Apply Lean tools, including Poka-Yoke, visual controls, standardized work, and 5S plus Safety, to reduce waste and support material recovery or reuse.
  • Advance digitalization and automation through workflow simplification, dashboards, system implementation/VF, benchmarking best practices, and maintaining PFMEA relevance and process-capability growth.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and recommend technologies, equipment upgrades, or process innovations that enhance manufacturing performance and sustainability.
  • Comply with company policies, code of conduct, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

About the Company

Brooks Automation

Semiconductor automation and vacuum solutions

Brooks Automation provides automation and vacuum solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. It operates in two main product lines: automation (including robotic systems and equipment for wafer handling and transport) and vacuum and instrumentation solutions (products to control and monitor the manufacturing environment). The way its products work is by using robotic systems to move and manage wafers through manufacturing steps, while vacuum systems and instrumentation regulate and observe the process environment to maintain clean, stable conditions and precise process control. The company differentiates itself by delivering integrated, high-performance automation and vacuum solutions that help semiconductor manufacturers boost productivity, improve yields, and reduce manufacturing costs. Brooks Automation’s goal is to enable customers to make their fabrication processes more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective in a global semiconductor market.
