As a Frontend Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our security and IoT solutions. This role focuses on building and optimizing complex features for our React-based web application while managing the technical architecture of our cross-platform projects. You'll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to create seamless, intuitive, and high-performance applications that power real-time security and surveillance systems.

What You'll Do:

Work with cross-functional teams to develop and ship high-impact features that enhance our customer experience.
Build and refine reusable React components to improve development efficiency and maintainability.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests, monitoring CI/CD pipelines to ensure a smooth development process.
Review pull requests, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
Optimize performance and memory usage for a data-intensive application handling real-time and historical security footage.
Stay ahead of modern frontend trends, proactively upgrading and migrating dependencies as needed.

What We're Looking For:

5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript and React.
Expertise with industry-standard tools such as Node.js, npm, Git.
Experience with Material-UI, Vite, and Jotai (or similar state management libraries).
Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and best practices.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, startup environment.
A self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and takes ownership of technical challenges.

This is a hybrid position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office 2-3 times a week or as needed.

Need to be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation

Base Salary: $140,000 - $200,000

Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
