  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of banking products / systems as well as RWA and Recovery and Resolution
  • Substantive knowledge of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles
  • Knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business
  • Requires understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise
  • Working knowledge of capital rules and regulations (CCAR, Basel III, SR 15-18: Federal Reserve Supervisory Assessment of Capital Planning and Positions for Firms Subject to Category I Standards, 12 CFR 225.8: Capital planning and stress capital buffer requirement) including rule interpretation and assessment of implications and compliance
  • Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences
  • Able to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency in presenting information
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right team to solution them

Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive initiatives to enhance methodologies, processes, and governance frameworks for regulatory capital metrics, including overseeing system enhancements and End-User Computing (EUC) maintenance
  • Actively participate in formulating and defining strategic direction for the processes, organizational structure, and architectural components related to Capital and RWA Forecasting across all Citi businesses, products, functions, and locations
  • Design and implement strategic solutions aimed at achieving the organization's target state objectives in areas of people, process, and technology
  • Develop and produce in-depth analytical reports to significantly enhance the capability for analyzing weekly and monthly Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and Supplementary Leverage Exposure (SLE) Recovery and Resolution results, leveraging advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of macro-economic variables to inform and develop forecasting scenario analysis crucial for stress testing exercises
  • Collaborate effectively with Model Life-Cycle (MLE) management, Regional Treasurers, and local finance teams globally to meticulously analyze local resolution capital requirements, including capital needs and governance
  • Provide oversight for the development of capital forecasting modeling solutions, ensuring they undergo rigorous review and challenge processes by Model Risk Management (MRM)
  • Assume overall responsibility for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and successful completion of projects aligned with commitments to Citi's Regulators
  • Proactively assess and mitigate risks in business decision-making, demonstrating a strong consideration for the firm's reputation and actively safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets

Citi stock poised to jump as Wall Street loves the name, says Jim Cramer

Citi beats Q1 profit estimates with $5.8B net income as dealmaking surges 14%

Citigroup beat first-quarter profit estimates on Tuesday, reporting net income of $5.8 billion, or $3.06 per diluted share, compared to $4.1 billion in the prior-year period. The result exceeded analysts' estimate of $2.63 per share. Revenue rose 14% whilst net income grew 42%, driven by strong dealmaking activity. Investment banking fees increased 19% to $1.3 billion, with growth in advisory and equity capital markets. Services revenue climbed 17%, and markets crossed $7 billion in revenue. Global investment banking revenue reached $28.2 billion in the first quarter, the highest since 2021. Chief executive Jane Fraser attributed the performance to softer regulation under President Trump and the AI boom. The bank remains on track to deliver its 10-11% return on tangible common equity target.

MerQube secures Series C funding from 7RIDGE and Deutsche Börse to scale derivatives-linked ETF platform

MerQube, a US-based index provider specialising in rules-based and derivatives-enabled strategies, has closed a Series C funding round led by 7RIDGE and Deutsche Börse Group. Existing investors including Allianz Life Ventures, Citi, Intel Capital, J.P. Morgan, Laurion Capital Management and UBS also participated, though the funding amount was not disclosed. The company plans to use the investment to scale its technology platform and expand in derivatives-linked ETF and structured product markets. MerQube focuses on providing customised index solutions and data-driven strategies for institutional clients.
