Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Five years of work experience in compliance testing, audit, or an equivalent area within the financial services industry is required.
  • Knowledge of United States banking regulations and compliance practices, as well as compliance testing and auditing processes and practices, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform compliance testing of the bank's compliance controls, identify issues, make recommendations, and report results.
  • Identify potential compliance risks, recommend resolutions, and escalate them to appropriate individuals when further investigation may be necessary.
  • Develop test scripts corresponding to the scope of each review under the supervision of a lead tester.
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of tested controls.
  • Collaborate with business lines to develop remediation plans for control weaknesses identified in reviews.
  • Track and validate implementation of remedial actions to verify that issues were remediated, and follow up with business owners as necessary.
  • Participate in preparing management review reports highlighting the scope, testing approach, and results of compliance reviews.
  • Perform operational team tasks and controls assigned by the Head of the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Group, including reporting and time tracking.
  • Monitor regulatory activities and industry developments to identify trends and emerging issues affecting the bank and its compliance testing program.
  • Assist in enhancing the Compliance Review Program.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Juris Doctor, Master of Business Administration, or master's degree is preferred.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist certification is preferred but not required.
