About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ETL Tester to join our dynamic team in Chennai. As an ETL Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data warehousing solutions. You will work closely with developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and SQL, as well as experience working in an Agile environment. This role requires working in a 1 PM to 10 PM shift, 5 days a week, in our ODC environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our data, which is essential for informed decision-making across the organization. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our data-driven initiatives and ensure that our data solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, who is passionate about data quality and committed to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
Perform data validation and verification to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system.
Collaborate with developers and data analysts to resolve data quality issues.
Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Design and implement automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
Analyze data warehouse schemas and data models to understand data relationships and dependencies.
Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not introduce new defects.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing standards and best practices.
Work closely with the development team to understand the impact of code changes on data quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4 to 7 years of experience in ETL testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure (Azure Fundamentals certification is a plus).
Solid understanding of data analysis techniques.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

This position is based in our Chennai office and requires working in a 1 PM to 10 PM shift, 5 days a week. The role is within an ODC (Offshore Development Center) environment.
