Requirements
  • Be a current member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Provide an up-to-date résumé.
  • Complete an arrhythmia course.
  • Have triage experience.
  • Have two years of emergency-department experience across departments such as triage, resuscitation and trauma, and observation.
  • Complete the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale training, which is mandatory.
  • Be skilled with software such as MedUrg, DCI, and Sil-P.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to clients in the short-stay care unit.
  • Assess clients’ health status and provide clinical follow-up.
  • Intervene with people presenting severe behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, appropriate care.
  • Maintain complete and compliant clinical documentation.
