- Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.

- Ability to implement solutions integrating Representational State Transfer application programming interface-based web services.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline and at least 3 years of directly related experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Knowledge of automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Structured Query Language.
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming Representational State Transfer APIs and other API technologies for data integration and interoperability.
- Experience with Extract, Transform, Load and Extract, Load, Transform tools and frameworks such as dbt and PySpark.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, and tool evaluation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Evaluate and recommend data ingestion and pipeline tools, including open-source and vendor solutions, to support scalable data workflows.
- Design and implement data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
- Develop and manage data orchestration workflows using open-source or commercial off-the-shelf tools to automate and monitor complex data pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain application programming interfaces or leverage existing APIs to enable seamless data integration across commercial off-the-shelf applications, custom-built applications, and data platforms.
- Work with on-premises infrastructure, including Oracle and Microsoft databases and MongoDB, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to support current and future data architectures.
- Integrate data pipelines with various applications to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Collaborate with database administrators, application owners, solution architects, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Implement and manage data virtualization solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.
- Document processes, architectures, and best practices for data engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of data virtualization concepts and experience with Denodo.
- Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, or similar platforms for workflow automation and scheduling.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and hybrid data architectures.
- Experience integrating data pipelines with COTS and custom applications.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and data governance.

Edgewater wins IT managed services contract with Argonne National Laboratory. Edgewater Federal Solutions has won a 5-year contract to be the IT managed service provider for Argonne National Laboratory. Argonne is operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC, for the Energy Department. The 1,500-acre campus employs over 4,500 people, including approximately 1,600 scientists and engineers. Under the contract, Edgewater will deliver comprehensive managed IT services to support Argonne's critical research mission across energy, environment, national security and STEM disciplines, the company said. "We are honored to partner with Argonne National Laboratory in support of its vital research mission," said Rodger Jones, Energy+ president of Edgewater Federal Solutions. "This award expands our footprint across the DOE's national laboratory complex. Our growing presence in this space underscores our commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and mission-focused IT services that enable scientific discovery at the highest level." Edgewater's services include service desk operations, on-site and remote end-user support, integrated IT and audio-visual services, and management of Argonne's ITSM platform to provide a scalable, flexible and resilient hybrid support model.
