Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
  • At least 2 years of experience in programmatic sales.
  • Experience meeting sales goals and building and nurturing high-value programmatic-buyer relationships within the digital media space.
  • Experience applying data to inform strategic decisions, forecast trends, and optimize campaign performance.
  • Experience explaining complex programmatic concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience operating in ambiguity and developing strategies to keep pace with industry developments.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a plan to secure programmatic deals from active PMP spenders and direct accounts in collaboration with the direct sales team.
  • Oversee client relationships and revenue outcomes before and after PMP creation, working with Account Management, Ad Operations, and Direct Sales.
  • Determine agency programmatic needs and the key performance indicators required for successful PMP outcomes.
  • Champion programmatic efforts across the sales organization as the PMP expert for direct sales, including post-sale account-management collaboration and external client engagements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with agency and advertiser buyers, understand their marketing goals, and apply the suite of programmatic products.
  • Identify where programmatic spending is occurring in the market and create conversations with new direct advertisers.
  • Understand the New York Times technology stack to support troubleshooting deals and address client obstacles.
  • Represent buyer needs to guide the Ad Product roadmap and Product Marketing collateral toward external demand.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize campaigns and maximize revenue.
  • Support and understand the value of journalistic independence and the company mission.
