About the job
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required for the full-time position.
- Be detail-oriented, self-starting, and comfortable working in a team environment.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Assist in the design and development of conceptual alternative and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects.
- Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans and traffic, signing, and striping plans.
- Perform geometric designs and plan development using computer design software, including MicroStation, AutoCAD, InRoads, AutoTurn, and GuideSign.
- Assist in the design of ADA-compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps.
- Experience with MicroStation V8i and Bentley In-Roads is preferred.
- EIT certification and prior internship experience are preferred.
