  • Use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
Responsibilities
  • Perform surgeries and manage the surgical team.
  • Perform procedures, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
  • Develop preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative plans, including obtaining patient history, ordering laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, and making referrals.
  • Discuss surgery results with patients and medical staff.
  • Examine patients to make diagnoses and treat illnesses and injuries.
  • Follow medical laws, guidelines, regulations, and standards.
  • Research and adopt new technologies.
  • Complete proper charting in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient care and collaborate with patients, families, healthcare staff, medical staff, administrative staff, and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
