Requirements
  • A diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • A current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support training or retraining must be completed during orientation before providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be maintained through retraining for the duration of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Systematically assess and reassess the healthcare needs of individuals for specific age groups and patient conditions, involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Provide nursing care through interventions that achieve patient goals and needs, using professional judgment guided by evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
  • Practice nursing professionally.
  • Serve as department leader alongside and in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
  • Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Oversee and promote bedside handoff at shift changes.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
