Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of progressive brand management experience within a consumer-packaged goods company is required.
- Experience developing and executing brand strategies, annual business plans, and innovation pipelines is required.
- Strong analytical experience using syndicated data sources such as Circana (IRI) and/or NielsenIQ to drive business decisions is required.
- Experience managing P&L performance, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis is required.
- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations, is required.
- Experience leading new product launches from concept through commercialization is required.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Responsibilities
- Pull and analyze IRI data to develop actionable insights.
- Oversee and understand the brand budget and financial levers.
- Perform return-on-investment analysis on tactics to guide future investments.
- Review brand profit-and-loss statements and recommend actions.
- Leverage consumer, marketplace, and customer insights and trends to support the Marketing Director in developing strategy and plans.
- Link consumer, competitive, and cultural insights to identify actionable opportunities and articulate a relevant plan of action.
- Draw connections between facts, ideas, and situations and make recommendations.
- Identify and connect consumer, category, and brand insights from data and observation across multiple data sets to identify brand opportunities.
- Articulate brand equity and positioning relative to consumer and cultural insights.
- Apply core marketing frameworks to set brand strategy.
- Use insights and trends to identify patterns and develop hypotheses for new product opportunities.
- Develop ideas and move from insights to product concepts.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams through commercialization or the new product development process.
- Ensure projects meet deadlines and take accountability for delivery.
- Coach and act as a resource for junior team members.
- Motivate cross-functional teams.
- Lead marketing efforts for assigned brands and products, and support the planning and execution of short- and long-term marketing plans.
- Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams in project management to deliver profitable new products and renovate existing products to meet consumer and customer needs.
- Lead agency partners on marketing communications and coordinate tactical work with other Nissin Foods USA business functions.
Desired Qualifications
- An MBA or master's degree in Marketing or Business Administration is preferred.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Experience with retailer-specific marketing initiatives and commercialization is preferred.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and eCommerce marketing strategies is preferred.
- Familiarity with innovation stage-gate processes is preferred.
- Experience managing external agencies, including creative, media, and consumer research partners, is preferred.
- Experience with SAP, Business Central, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
