Requirements
- Previous project management experience on healthcare, higher education, civic, and corporate environment construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project contracts, scheduling, and cost control.
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day project operations, documentation, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
- Proficiency with project management platforms and scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication, organization, contract knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic project environment with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operational and administrative execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring efficient delivery from start to finish.
- Manage project planning, cost control, scheduling, procurement, change management, and coordination across the project team and all trade partners.
- Work closely with superintendents, owners, design teams, and subcontractors to maintain alignment on project goals, resolve field and design challenges, and ensure all work complies with contracts, drawings, and specifications.
- Oversee documentation, budgets, risk mitigation, and communication to keep the project progressing on time and within scope.
- Experienced project managers may lead multiple phases of a project, mentor assistant project managers, support preconstruction activities, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Successful project managers in this role excel at communication, coordination, and proactive problem-solving while maintaining a clear focus on schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
