Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience designing cloud-native, enterprise-grade technical architecture in customer-facing or support roles.
  • Experience designing, managing, and operating high-performance computing systems, including MPI workloads, low-latency networking, and parallel file systems.
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of an account team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share Google Cloud expertise to support customer technical relationships through technology advocacy, bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnership with product management to prioritize solutions that impact Google Cloud adoption.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
  • Lead prospecting and acquisition of new customer logos, build customer relationships from scratch, and act as a trusted advisor on long-term technology and business decisions.
  • Partner with technical sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud, help prospective and existing customers and partners understand Google Cloud, develop cloud solutions, conduct demonstrations, and troubleshoot technical questions.
  • Engage customers to understand business and technical requirements and present practical Google Cloud solutions.
  • Address customer opportunities across artificial intelligence, infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data analytics, and other areas.
  • Build account connections and develop greenfield territories.
  • Assist sales colleagues by solving customer technical issues.
  • Liaise with product marketing management and engineering teams to track industry trends and devise Google Cloud product enhancements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with federal scientific and research-focused agencies such as NOAA, NIST, and the Department of Energy.
  • Experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Agentic AI use cases or deploying custom AI applications.
  • Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud and IT technology space.
