About the job
- A diploma in construction engineering or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrable experience as a project leader, site manager, or assistant project leader in road construction, sewer works, or a related infrastructure sector is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of Standard Specification 250 and common construction methods is required.
- A strong technical background combined with organizational and financial insight is required.
- Experience directing and motivating workers, foremen, and subcontractors is required.
- A very good command of Dutch is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Lead and coordinate one or more infrastructure construction sites on a daily basis.
- Prepare the work technically and organizationally in consultation with internal departments.
- Direct, guide, and motivate foremen, workers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor schedules, quality, and safety throughout execution.
- Track and manage the complete construction file, including reporting and administration.
- Deploy and manage equipment and resources efficiently.
- Maintain constructive relationships with clients, engineering consultancies, utility companies, and other stakeholders.
- Apply contractual provisions and Standard Specification 250 correctly.
- Communicate actively, consult with neighbors, and minimize disruption at and around the worksite.
- Knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.
