Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and report-writing experience are required.
  • Applicants must pass a criminal background check and a Department of Motor Vehicles background check.
  • Applicants must be comfortable working with children and teenagers and able to handle stressful situations and emergencies.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must provide body armor, including a tactical outer carrier, concealed inner carrier, and Level IIIA-or-higher soft armor; a duty belt with MOLLE attachments; OC spray, handcuffs, and a baton; and their own duty weapon with at least two spare magazines.
  • A Level 3 armed security license is required.
  • At least one year of armed security experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Control access to the school site.
  • Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that may endanger the client, associates, or public safety.
  • Conduct patrols in a company-marked vehicle when assigned; candidates must have an exemplary driving history free of tickets, accidents, or marks against their driver's license.
  • Conduct foot patrols when assigned to maintain visibility and observe unusual activity at client facilities.
  • Deter theft and vandalism.
  • Provide the client, associates, and facility personnel with a safe and professional work environment.
  • Enforce campus rules and regulations.
  • Safeguard school grounds from suspicious people and activity.
  • Patrol and supervise the school campus.
  • Keep daily administrative documentation concise and complete.
  • Maintain uniform attire and grooming standards while in uniform.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Previous law enforcement officer or military experience is preferred.
  • CPR training is preferred.
