Salary Range: 140000 to 165000 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-year-salary)
As a DevOps Engineer you will be involved in all stages of Regard’s development and infrastructure practices. You will help enhance and support architecture and infrastructure improvements to the Regard platform. You will drive improvements to and support our CI/CD practices and the integration of Regard’s infrastructure into customer environments. You will participate in idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution and support of Regard’s systems. You will collaborate closely with the DevOps team, engineering, and external customer IT teams to ensure our applications are robust, available, and performant.

Responsibilities:
- Update, maintain and modify Regard’s cloud-based infrastructure across the product platform
- Own small to medium infrastructure projects, working closely with senior DevOps team members to design and implement them
- Support senior engineers on large infrastructure projects
- Write infrastructure as code to support team spin up of new services
- Maintain core CI/CD infrastructure and containerized environments
- Support deployment and maintenance of new customer buildouts and integration with electronic medical record software
- Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase and tooling in your area of responsibility by proactive fixes and improvements and through identifying and proposing projects to improve the overall infrastructure codebase
- Participate in operational activities supporting infrastructure and on-call support rotations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience writing infrastructure as code (Terraform, or CloudFormation, or Pulumi, etc)
- Demonstrated skills in container technologies and frameworks (Kubernetes, or EKS, or Docker, or ArgoCD)
- Experience in cloud services and technologies
- Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting
- Ability to participate in on-call operational support for their areas of responsibility
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to participate in customer-facing activities to support integration of Regard into customer EHR systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in AWS
- Experience in a customer facing role
Hybrid Work | Location | Work Authorization
- For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City metro area
- We expect our Engineers to be in the office 1-2 days per week. We may request more frequent in-office work during the onboarding period.
- We will provide relocation assistance to anyone who does not already reside in the NYC metro area
- We prefer hiring people within commuting distance of our NYC office because we value getting together in person regularly
