Responsibilities

Assist customers in testing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) at the wafer or die level.
Work with probe station partners and laser source integration for silicon photonics (SiPh) testing workflows.
Cover all Fiber Optics labs products in the VIAVI portfolio, including optical spectrum analyzers, fiber inspection tools, power meters and laser sources, insertion loss/return loss testers, optical amplifiers, optical switches, swept wavelength systems, component analyzers, tunable filters, polarization controllers, and broadband sources in C and L bands.
Work closely with customers' research and development, new product introduction, and manufacturing teams to provide optical testing solutions.
Understand customer requirements, set appropriate expectations, propose suitable solutions, and demonstrate the value of the company's products.
Conduct product and solution demonstrations and on-site trials, coordinating with Sales and the Division.
Conduct user training sessions for high-end products and help customers get started with testing.
Create localized test procedure documents according to local customer needs.
Transfer competencies and technologies to direct sales and channel partners through education.
Present products and technology at targeted regional road shows and seminars.
Provide feedback to the Division and contribute to strategy preparation.
Share experience and best practices with Sales and the Division.

Summary:

Primarily provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Support for PIC Characterization: Assist customers in testing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) at the wafer or die level.

• Ecosystem Collaboration: Work with probe station partners and laser source integration for SiPh

testing workflows.

Cover all Fiber Optics labs product of VIAVI portfolio; OSA, Fiber Inspection Tools, power meter & laser source, IL/RL tester, Optical Amplifiers, Optical switches, swept wavelength systems, component analyzers, Tunable filters, Polarization controllers, Broadband sources C&L band etc.
To work closely with customers R&D, NPI and manufacturing to provide optical testing solutions.
Understand real customer requirements. Set right expectation. Propose the right solution and demonstrate compelling value of our products.
