MedImpact names Rebekah Gregg Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital Solutions. Pharmacy benefits executive will help the company communicate its affordability, technology, and clinical solutions to a healthcare industry undergoing change SAN DIEGO, CA - September 24, 2026 - MedImpact, the nation's largest independent pharmacy benefit and health solutions company, has named Rebekah Gregg Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital Solutions. Gregg joins as MedImpact brings to market new solutions that give healthcare payers greater visibility, choices, and control over pharmacy benefits and lower costs for both members and plans. "Rebekah has spent much of her career working closely with payers and knows what challenges our clients face, what they need, and how to communicate it clearly," said MedImpact Executive Vice President Zach Johnson. "Her timing is excellent. We have exciting work underway and she is the right person to help us bring new solutions to the market." Payers today are facing rising drug prices, new therapies with historically high price tags, changing regulatory and marketplace dynamics, and an affordability crisis for members at the counter. An independent company for nearly 40 years, MedImpact is taking bold action by re-engineering the drug supply chain and rolling out new technologies, formularies, models, and clinical programs. Rebekah's expertise will be critical in communicating the value of the company's innovative solutions to the marketplace. MedImpact wins 2026 PBMI Excellence Award for high-cost generics solution. HCG X program provides payers 80.6% PMPQ savings and a 5:1 ROI in year one SAN DIEGO, CA - September 11, 2026 - MedImpact, the nation's largest independent pharmacy benefits and health solutions company, today announced that HCG X(R), a clinically driven solution that delivers significant savings on high-cost generic (HCG) medications, has won the 2026 Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute(R)(PBMI) Excellence Award for Cost Containment. "Despite common misconceptions, not all generic drugs are inexpensive. In fact, some are much more costly than therapeutically equivalent products," said Arpit Patel, Senior Vice President, Trade Relations and Supply Chain. "As specialty drugs and GLP-1s cause pharmacy spend to spiral, our HCG solutions are delivering real savings with little to no member disruption." Using advanced analytics to track prices and claim costs for more than 2,000 drugs, HCG X excludes high-cost generics when there are clinically appropriate, lower-cost alternatives. After just one year using the HCG X program, clients experienced an average of 80.6% reduction in per member per quarter (PMPQ) spend-and greater than 5:1 ROI. One hundred percent of clients reported satisfaction with this solution, citing its value, level of support, and financial impact. "Our HCG solution is another example of our drive to lower costs without compromising access," continued Patel. "And it is further proof that payers shouldn't have to choose between lower costs and quality care." Each year, the PBMI Excellence Awards recognize organizations demonstrating innovation and leadership, and making a measurable impact on the pharmacy benefit management industry. MedImpact was also recognized in 2025 for its MedEmpower Fuel(R) personalized health and wellness app. Keep up to date on the latest in the industry. Nine pharmacy benefit managers will integrate TrumpRx prescription drug pricing into their benefit tools, effective 1 January 2027. The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association and participating PBMs—including CVS Health, Express Scripts, Humana, and OptumRx—will display cash prices from TrumpRx alongside plan coverage costs. CMS Administrator Dr Mehmet Oz said the commitment will help patients compare prices and find better deals. PCMA CEO David Marin stated the transparency will allow consumers to make better-informed choices about prescription drug costs. Some PBMs will use Real Time Benefit Tools to display pricing comparisons, whilst others may employ different methods.
