About the job
- At least 2 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret construction and millwork drawings.
- Proficiency in Procore for document management, purchase-order tracking, and daily reporting.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Support the Project Manager and Site Supervisor across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Track, manage, and upload project documentation to Procore accurately and on time.
- Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in Procore following Project Manager approval.
- Assist with reviewing and distributing shop drawings to consultants and clients for approval.
- Create startup materials and project close-out documentation.
- Manage and track change orders and time-loss logs.
- Coordinate communications with vendors and suppliers, verify lead times, confirm quotes, and flag delays early.
- Review and verify subcontractor quotes and ensure accurate scope coverage before award.
- Monitor material orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement before they become a site issue.
- Coordinate accommodation arrangements for project team members assigned to Jasper, including working with accommodation providers, confirming availability, tracking bookings, and flagging concerns that may affect site coverage.
- Monitor project progress and budgets to ensure milestones are met, and proactively escalate risks to the Project Manager.
- Assist with permitting processes, including coordinating permit requests with local municipalities.
- Support site safety compliance by maintaining accurate records and documentation in Procore.
- A background in construction, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience or exposure to hospitality, restaurant, or retail construction is an asset.
