Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in a leadership role in manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain.
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in, or demonstrated knowledge of, ISO certifications and Lean Manufacturing.
  • The ability to influence senior management, teams, and individuals across multiple disciplines.
  • A track record of increasing efficiency and productivity in a manufacturing setting.
  • The ability to drive multiple initiatives in parallel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to ask appropriate questions, frame logical conclusions, and arrive at effective solutions.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and lead people in a matrix organization.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all manufacturing and supply chain operations across multiple North American locations through matrixed and direct reporting structures supporting multiple business groups.
  • Direct business objectives and develop organizational practices to coordinate functions and operations between departments, establish responsibilities, and define procedures for attaining objectives at appropriate customer service levels.
  • Analyze activity reports and financial statements to determine progress toward objectives, and revise objectives and operating plans to address current conditions.
  • Develop strategy and implement long-range plans, operating budgets, and resource plans to execute growth initiatives in collaboration with key leaders.
  • Ensure plans and processes are in place to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Evaluate managers and hold them accountable for compliance with established practices, organizational objectives, and contributions toward those objectives.
  • Collaborate across operating, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, transportation, distribution, import/export, maintenance, and research and development functions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and operating cost.
