IT Support Specialist
About the job
- 1 to 3 years of help desk or desktop support experience.
- Strong proficiency with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
- Patience and a service mindset when supporting non-technical users.
- Good judgment about when to resolve issues and when to escalate them.
- Provide first-line support for staff and clinicians by phone, email, ticket, and in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and access issues.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, devices, and EMR access.
- Support basic EMR user issues and route complex problems to the IT Manager.
- Set up, image, and maintain laptops, desktops, phones, and peripherals.
- Log and document every ticket clearly in the help desk system.
- Travel between hospital sites as needed.
- Participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.
- Healthcare or EMR exposure is preferred.
- CompTIA A+ or a similar certification is a plus.
