Requirements
  • Previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, or Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed during high-volume service.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must meet applicable Louisiana requirements related to alcohol service support operations.
Responsibilities
  • Support bartenders in delivering professional, warm, and efficient beverage service.
  • Maintain fully stocked, clean, organized, and presentation-ready bar areas throughout service.
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, juices, syrups, garnishes, glassware, ice, napkins, and other bar supplies.
  • Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, mixers, and other beverage components according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing the Lobby Lounge bar and beverage service areas.
  • Ensure adequate ice, glassware, bar tools, and beverage supplies are available throughout service.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for regular lounge service, VIP experiences, special events, and hotel functions.
  • Remove used glassware, dishes, trash, and recycling promptly from bar and lounge areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar tops, counters, coolers, sinks, storage areas, service stations, and equipment.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining bar equipment and tools.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, rotating, and storing beverage products.
  • Maintain proper product rotation and storage according to hotel standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts, requisitions, waste tracking, and product accountability.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or equipment concerns to leadership.
  • Safely transport beverage products, equipment, ice, and supplies throughout the hotel.
  • Assist servers and other Front of House colleagues as needed during high-volume periods.
  • Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, food menus, hotel amenities, and services.
  • Interact with guests warmly and professionally when appropriate.
  • Follow all applicable Louisiana alcohol regulations and responsible beverage service procedures.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with Fairmont New Orleans standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, cocktail bar, or lounge experience is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage service is preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
