Meta Platforms plans to deploy custom AI chips MTIA 450 and MTIA 500 in 2027, developed with Broadcom for AI inference. The company aims to deploy over 1 GW of custom-chip capacity in the next 12 months. Bank of America maintained its "buy" rating, estimating roughly $8.5 billion in potential savings by 2027, assuming 40% cost reduction versus third-party chips. Meta cancelled a combined training and inference chip after determining it would cost approximately 30% more. Meta has launched Meta One globally, offering subscription plans ranging from $2.99 to $499 monthly. The service already has 15 million subscribers and trials. Bank of America estimates each 1% subscription conversion could generate $4.3 billion annually.
Encavis has closed a EUR282 million financing package for a 351MW solar portfolio in Italy, with flexibility to integrate battery storage, reinforcing its growth strategy in one of Europe's most attractive solar markets.
Stubbs Alderton & Markiles (SA&M) has advised Diodes Incorporated on selling $375 million of 0.00% Senior Convertible Notes maturing in 2031. The notes were sold through a private placement under Rule 144A to qualified institutional buyers via banks including Bank of America and Citigroup. The transaction, which began in July 2026, also included Diodes purchasing $21 million of capped calls and repurchasing $35 million of its common stock. SA&M attorneys prepared documentation including an offering memorandum, pricing term sheet, indenture, and regulatory filings. The SA&M team included John McIlvery, Jared Brenner, Joe Zhou, Samantha Goldstein, Steve Kurtz, Simon Leefatt, Taylor Bao, and Brian Hall.
Jersey Mike's Subs reported second-quarter same-store sales growth of 2.3%, driven primarily by transaction growth, while systemwide sales increased 10% to $1.21 billion. The sandwich chain opened 83 restaurants during the quarter, pushing net unit growth to 8.1%. Bank of America analyst Sara Senatore raised the firm's price target to $29 from $27, citing improving traffic trends. Third-quarter-to-date same-store sales are running above 3%, up from 2.3% in the second quarter and 1.7% in the first quarter. Digital sales reached 43% of systemwide sales, up from 41% year-over-year, whilst loyalty membership grew 22%. Adjusted EBITDA increased 7% to $114 million, though this figure absorbed a $10 million adverse impact from advertising-fund timing.
Bank of America analyst Lisa K. Lewandowski reiterated a Buy rating on Casey's General Stores despite lowering the price target to $875 from $975. The new target implies approximately 39% upside from the current share price. Casey's shares dropped roughly 14% following fiscal first-quarter results, though the company reported strong performance. Diluted earnings rose 27.7% to $7.37 per share, whilst EBITDA increased 17.1% to $485.1 million. The lower price target reflects near-term headwinds including store remodelling costs, a cautious consumer, and sector re-rating. BofA estimates remodelling reduced first-quarter inside same-store sales by about 25 basis points. The firm raised earnings estimates, forecasting EPS of $21.77 in fiscal 2027. BofA cited Casey's foodservice expansion and geographic footprint as key growth drivers supporting its bullish outlook.
