Requirements
  • 10+ years of payroll tax experience and a focus on expat assignments.
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Payroll accounting theory, principles, practices, and applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate Excel knowledge (i.e., pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • Manage, coordinate and facilitate all inquiries with our third-party tax advisor, payroll vendor(s), and Global Payroll and Mobility team(s).
  • Assist with payroll/tax/audit research and respond to escalations in a timely manner.
  • Provide expert advice on international tax matters related to global mobility, including expatriate tax compliance, tax equalization, and tax planning.
  • Manage the relationship and costs with our third party tax services provider.
  • Manage tax compliance for expatriates, including tax return preparation and filing, coordination with external tax advisors, and ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for global assignments, considering both company and employee perspectives.
  • Review and analyze tax implications of global mobility policies and programs, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of global mobility policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with current tax laws and best practices.
  • Prepare various documents for tax calculations, cost estimate, deregistration/registration, tax form reviews.
  • Determine taxability impact on fringe benefits or other pay impacting program calculations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries regarding mobility and payroll tax matters.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
