ProSidian Seeks a Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Industrial Hygiene headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte. 

This *** | Non-Exempt position currently best aligns with the Industrial Hygiene Specialist IH 100 Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive “Jugaad” and dialogue targeting mission success.  ProSidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808.  Services anticipated incudes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioative waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).

Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Industrial Hygiene Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and TheIndustrial Hygiene Specialist IH 100 is a Professional Grade position.

• The purpose of the position is to provide technical and practical support in the area of Industrial Hygiene (IH). Functions including, but not limited to:
• Perform conventional practices of IH by anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling environmental factors or stresses in the workplace.
• Perform delegated technical responsibility for a limited scope of an Industrial Hygiene (IH) Program.
• Perform and document exposure monitoring strategies as assigned.
• Assist in study, development, testing and analysis of designs, processes, and procedures relating to a limited scope of the group's function.
• Organize and accept responsibility for the accuracy of limited technical analyses and evaluation of results using conventional IH techniques and procedures.
• Perform scientific IH calculations.
• Support Enterprise Integrated Safety Management –Exposure Assessment (EISM-EA) data input for SRR professional His
• Use industrial hygiene monitoring equipment ranging in weight from 5 to 25 pounds. These functions are frequently accomplished under poor conditions, including poor lighting and ventilation, extreme temperatures with physical, chemical and biological hazards frequently present.

Qualifications

The Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Industrial Hygiene shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

SRR shall review ProSidian personnel resumes and ensure individual has familiarity required to successfully execute required task in the defined time period.     High school diploma and 8 years in industrial hygiene specialty             Must have understanding of industrial hygienist and environmental health professional business practices and governing guidance to include: 10 CFR 851 and OSHA

Must have basic computer skills The 40-hour work week schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules. Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position

TRAVEL:  Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements.  Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.  LOCATION:  Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina

• U.S.  Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
