Plumbing Service Technician
About the job
- At least 3 years of prior plumbing warranty and service work in the residential construction industry.
- A current Tradesman or Journeyman-level license.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including working indoors and outdoors in varied temperatures and weather; climbing ladders and steep stairs; crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching; routinely lifting more than 50 pounds; and pushing and pulling objects.
- Knowledge of industry-standard tools and materials.
- Ability to work on a wide variety of plumbing fixtures and both tank-type and tankless water heaters.
- Perform warranty and service work to repair or replace plumbing-related items in new and existing homes.
- Use an iPad or tablet to enter service-call solutions and access the daily schedule to review and plan efficient work routes.
- Work alongside industry experts to expand trade knowledge and experience.
- Identify plumbing issues and communicate solutions to homeowners and production staff to resolve issues quickly.
- Coordinate with the Customer Service Department and Production.
