About the job
- Graduate of an accredited X-Ray program.
- Two to three years of relevant experience.
- Good verbal, written, and telephone skills.
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and performing X-rays in accordance with established patient care and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and promptly report malfunctions or concerns to a supervisor.
- Use and maintain radiation protection and shielding equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Accurately document and enter radiological procedure data into the electronic health record system in a timely manner.
- Maintain examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, proper stocking of supplies, and adherence to sterilization protocols for equipment and surfaces.
- Monitor and evaluate imaging results to ensure quality and accuracy according to established guidelines.
- Protect patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in all interactions and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications and professional affiliations.
- Attend and actively participate in organizational meetings, trainings, and committees as required.
- Perform additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
- One year of experience as an X-ray technician in an outpatient orthopedic clinic.
