Requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions for safe lifting and carrying of objects of various sizes, shapes, and weights.

  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, elevated areas, airborne particles, fumes, caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Responsibilities
  • Perform plant cleaning according to the Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain general housekeeping throughout the plant.
  • Use powered lifts, scissor lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors, and other mechanized and non-mechanized cleaning equipment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machines, pumps, bucket elevators, slurry equipment, filters, and other processing equipment.
  • Perform the Allergen Elimination Procedure.
  • Follow safety and hygiene procedures for housekeeping and personal protection.
  • Participate in safety training, team development programs, plant initiatives, and continuous improvement initiatives including 5S.
  • Read Safety Data Sheets and handle chemical cleaning agents and concentrates according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Assist departments with spill containment.
  • Assist pest control technicians by observing and communicating pest activity.
  • Remove product debris and collect recyclables for loading into proper trailers.
  • Enter chemical concentrate information into Excel when required.
  • Create or update Standard Operating Procedures when required.
  • Perform other assigned duties and work mandatory overtime when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • One year of production experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
